A Monday in East London

I took this photo on Monday when the rain poured down all day and the sky was white and bleak. This pub sits half way down Whitecross Street and the Barbican building rises tall behind it. It looked so cosy and appealing as I ran down the street trying to miss the enormous puddles on my way home that I almost took myself inside for a drink. But for once discipline prevailed and I skipped on home to the warm and dry.
